Fresh off the unveiling of the Nike Air Max 1 “City Of Light,” we have a look at another AM 1 set to release on Air Max Day this year. A women’s exclusive, the Nike Air Max 1 “Wabi-Sabi” (W) has been unveiled courtesy of Japan’s “Queen Of Swag,” Rei Hata.
A part of the celebration of the 35th Anniversary of the Air Max 1, the “Wabi-Sabi” pair draws inspiration from the traditional Japanese aesthetics, a world view centered on the acceptance of transience and imperfection in nature. Featuring mismatched colorways from one shoe to the other. The sneaker is covered in earth tones, a popular theme these days. Premium materials, contrast stitching and a gum rubber outsole shine on these Air Maxes. Perhaps the most unique part of this pair is the midsole. It features a cracked-like design throughout, similar to the Off-White x Air Jordan 2 Retro Low released in 2021.
The Nike Air Max 1 Wabi-Sabi is set to release on March 26th, 2022. It will drop at Nike as well as select retailers worldwide in-store and online. Coming in women’s sizes, a retail price has yet to be announced. Keep it locked to our Twitter and Mobile App to stay up to date on future releases.
