The famed safari print appears on a “Summit White” colorway of the Nike Air Max 1.

Air Max heads have had an incredible last few years as releases from iconic collaborators like Concepts and atmos have graced the sneaker release calendar. On top of this, the Air Max line celebrated its 35th anniversary in 2022, though this new year is still set to give us plenty of offerings. We’ve got a slew of Air Max 1 “Big Bubble” releases (in OG form and in golf-ready variants), new renditions like the “Design By Japan” colorway, and now a first look at the Nike Air Max 1 Safari in “Summit White.”
Much like the iconic atmos collaboration, a safari print covers the mudguard that wraps around the upper towards the heel as well as the Nike Swoosh along the midfoot in a grey shade, accenting this are various shades of white and cream with the tumbled leather base taking on a more true shade of white. Smooth leathers around the vamp, quarter panel, and heel are seen in a creamy hue while the TPU eyestays provide the most contrast with its UNC blue finish. Underfoot sits a creamy Air Max 1 midsole with an exposed Air Unit in the heel paired with a black, blue, and grey rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Max 1 Safari Summit White W is set to release on March 3rd, 2023 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Coming in women’s sizing, the retail price is set at $150.
