The Nike Air Max 1's 35th Anniversary celebrations are well underway at this point, and just in case you thought the Beaverton brand was about to finish, they unleash the Nike Air Max 1 "Burgundy Crush."
Taking on the Tinker Hatfield classic, the "Burgundy Crush" is painted in an earthy color palette that is perfect for the Fall and Winter seasons ahead. Instead of the usual mesh, this sneaker adds a buttery suede base that's soft and supple to the touch. Leather panels wrap around the sides and mudguard, while darker hues adorn the heel, tongue, and Nike Swoosh for a very subtle yet striking contrast. While Nike could've left it here and called it a day, they've finished this Air Max 1 off with an extra chunky Max Air cushioned midsole that seems a little oversized. This is done up with stitching around the outside of the unit for a sartorially-inspired aesthetic that we can't help but to admire.
The Nike Air Max 1 Burgundy Crush W is a women's exclusive and releases on December 8th, 2022 for a retail price of $150.
