The Nike Air Max 1 has enjoyed numerous makeovers and is now gearing up for another “Athletic Department” colorway. Previously seen in a striking "White Black Forest" colorway, the latest iteration of the Athletic Department Pack comes in “Navy.”
The Nike Air Max 1 Athletic Department "Navy" is a well-balanced mix of midnight navy, white, sail, fir, and coconut milk shades, complementing each other. The midnight navy suede graces the mudguard and Swoosh, creating a perfect backdrop for the contrasting white mesh on the toe and collar. The sockliner and tongue echo the white hue, while the vamp and quarter panel display a slight grey tone. Sail-colored laces contrast sharply to the fir-shaded Air Max branding and TPU eyelet, whereas the mini Swoosh near the mudguard and the Nike Air logo on the heel are embroidered in the same fir shade. The shoe sits on a coconut milk-shaded foam midsole with the iconic visible Air unit in the heel. Completing the design is the multicolored teal, black, and blue rubber outsole.
