Even though the Air Kukini is well over two decades old, it's still considered by many sneakerheads to be one of the most futuristic-looking silhouettes out there. Designed by Sean McDowell back in 2000, it was brought back in on its 20th anniversary in 2020 and it's getting increasingly popular by the day. After checking out the "Water" earlier this season, we're now taking our first look at another abstract colorway in the form of the Nike Air Kukini "Light Silver Black."
Just like the original pair, this edition boasts a full neoprene upper that's snug and supportive at the same time. Painted in a clean light silver hue, it's accented with orange and black tones throughout with complementary suede adorning the toebox and heel counter. A dash of soft yellow hits the leather tongue and sidewalls, and all of this is wrapped in a glossy spider-web-like cage that completely takes over the entire shoe. Down below, the Air midsole has been dipped in a creamy white for a vintage vibe, and it's finished off with a dash of gum rubber underfoot for that retro look that we all know and love.
Releasing sometime in Summer 2023, the Nike Air Kukini Light Silver Black will be available in men's sizes for $140. Expected to launch at Nike and select retailers within the coming months, keep it locked on our Twitter and download our officialMobile App for your best chance to cop!
