The 1990s were an incredible time for Nike as the ever-expanding sportswear brand began to experiment more and more with its footwear designs. One of these designs that still lives on to this day is the Nike Air Huarache, a “T-shirt for your foot” as put by its designer Tinker Hatfield, who crafted the model to hug your feet with its neoprene bootie construction. For its latest makeover, the model has appeared in a clean “White Phantom” colorway that incorporates multi-color details throughout.
Coming in its classic construction consisting of neoprene, leather, and TPU, the model is primarily dressed in white shades mixed with creamy hits of phantom on its underlay and overlays respectively. Leather panels in this cream-based shade appear on the toebox, midfoot, and eyestays while we see a stark white lace set that matches the neoprene base layer below. Along the tongue tag, we see Nike Air Huarache branding in a combo of blue and green while more colorful hits take over the sockliner (red) and the Nike-branded pull tab (yellow). Completing the design is the white foam midsole paired with a black rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Huarache White Phantom is set to release in the Summer of 2023 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $125.
