For years, it felt like some sneaker grails were too sacred to retro. And then Wu-Tang Dunks and Undefeated 4s got a second chance at retail, and it started to feel like all bets were off. Still, though, one legendary pair is keeping its mystique without a retro, despite a recent pump fake.
Legendary Samples
A PlayStation x Nike Air Force 1 Low sample from 2024 surfaced on Instagram this week from noted rare sneaker reseller PG Knows. One of the most iconic pairs of Air Force 1s in the silhouette’s storied history, the PlayStation collab made it all the way to the sample level on its way to a retro release, but was scrapped before it ever made it to retail.

There were rumblings of a potential PlayStation x Nike Air Force 1 Low re-release in 2025, though those rumors were shot down quickly. But considering samples were made for the Holiday 2024 season, it makes sense that rumors spread of another release.
