Take It Back To The 2000s With This Snakeskin Nike Air Force 1 Mid
Published
Fashion is an industry in which present-day designers stand on the shoulders of those in the past who paved the way for them, often going back decades to revive designs and trends and bring them into modern times. As we’re past 20 years since the year 2000, we’re beginning to see trends shift from the 90s into the early oughts - as seen with the upcoming Nike Air Force 1 Mid “Snakeskin.”
Truly bringing 2000s vibes thanks to the silhouette chosen and snakeskin accents, this AF1 Mid comes wholly covered in white leather across its overlays and underlays. Standard Air Force 1 details remain as the toebox receives perforations, stitching details throughout remain tonal, and this Mid variant receives a lockdown strap up along the tongue, however, the use of faux-snakeskin on the Swoosh branding makes this small change pop. Further branding, found atop the tongue tag, along the lockdown strap, and back on the heel tab, comes in black with the latter of the three also getting covered in faux snakeskin. Completing the design is the chunky AF1 midsole we all know and love getting dressed in white and matching the rubber outsole below.
The Nike Air Force 1 Mid Snakeskin W is set to release in the Spring of 2023 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Coming in women’s sizing, the retail price is set at $120.
