Nike’s Air Force 1 Mid may be considered the black sheep of the AF1 family, yet the Swoosh finds the time to dress the silhouette in unique colorways. Alongside homages to Berlin and London, the Air Force 1 Mid is the canvas of choice to celebrate yet another European city, this time the French capital of Paris.
This homage to Paris is achieved through various details and motifs nodding to the city's street signs and postal code, seen on the lace dubrae and “75” text embroidered on the mudguard. Dressing the upper is smooth leather in a combo of pollen overlays and a cashmere underlay. The toebox, while remaining perforated, switches to triangular cutouts in place of the usual circles. Laces opt for the shade adorning the eyestays, accented by a blue void “Nike Air” tongue tag. More blue void hits make their way to the Nike Swoosh on the midfoot and lockdown strap, as well as the heel tab. On the insole, another Nike-branded Parisian street sign appears in a blue void, green noise, and white combo. Rounding out the look is the cream-colored midsole and pollen rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Force 1 Mid Paris is set to release on May 21st, 2022 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $130.
