If you didn't know when the AF1 debuted, now you know.
Even though Nike's Air Force 1 celebrated its 40th birthday in 2022, it looks like the party's only just getting started this year. With coveted collaborations from the likes of Jacquemus, Off-White, and Tiffany & Co. slated to release over the next few months, the Beaverton-based brand has also just revealed the Nike Air Force 1 Low "Since 1982." A special colorway that pays homage to the year that the AF1 made its grand debut, if you're a big fan of the Bruce Kilgore-designed basketball shoe then this pair was made just for you.
From a distance, these Forces look like just another classic "Triple White" release, but upon closer inspection you'll quickly find that there's way more than meets the eye. Crafted from a summit white leather construction, the entire upper is completely covered with "Since 1982" text from heel to toe, obviously nodding to the year that the model was officially introduced. Metallic silver Swooshes shoot through the lateral and medial sides, and all of this sits on top of a crisp white Air midsole, finalizing the simple yet striking aesthetic.
The Nike Air Force 1 Low Since 1982 Summit White will release sometime in Summer 2023. Set to launch in men's sizes, they'll be available at Nike, the SNKRS app, select retailers both online and in-store for $120.
