Paying homage to the oldest Chinatown in the US.

San Francisco's Chinatown is one of the city's most popular tourist attractions. In fact, unknown to many, every year it draws more visitors than the Golden Gate Bridge. To celebrate this cultural neighborhood, which originated all the way back in the mid 1800s, the Oregon sportswear giant will be launching the Nike Air Force 1 Low Premium "San Francisco Chinatown."
Boasting a crisp white leather construction that's slightly textured for a luxe look and feel, the Nike Swoosh and Air midsole are both decorated with a cool gradient effect that fades from white to lotus pink. Underfoot, you'll find an icy blue rubber outsole, and along the heel, a lotus flower graphic is debossed. To round it all off, the A 1's tongue tag features "Old Gold Mountain" in Chinese characters. This is the nickname that Chinese immigrants gave San Fran when they first stepped foot in the US, referencing the California Gold Rush which was happening around the same time that SF's Chinatown was being built.
The Nike Air Force 1 Low Premium SF Chinatown Gold Mountain is set to release in May 2023. Coming in men's and gradeschool sizes, retail is set at $150 and $105, respectively. They will be available via Nike, the SNKRS app, and select retailers in the SF bay area.
