Unbeknownst to many, the Beaverton-based sportswear brand's "NAI-KE" line has been around since 2015. Originally unveiled on an Air Force 1 High, the China-exclusive range has since taken on the Tennis Classic and the Cortez. Now, seven years later, it has returned to the Bruce Kilgore basketball shoe with the Nike Air Force 1 Low NAI-KE "Flax." Made to celebrate 40 years of the AF1, here's everything that we know so far.
Made for the Fall, this Air Force 1 is crafted from shaggy suede throughout and is dipped in an earthy "Flax" hue. Geometric patterning adorns the lateral and medial sides, and on the tongue tag, you'll find "THE ONE LINE" which references the Oregon company's experimental running shoe collection that was made exclusively for China, named "The One Line" series. "Nike" features around the heel and insole in Chinese characters, while the "NAI-KE" branded dubraes are made from a jade-inspired material to keep in line with the theme. This all sits on top of a coconut milk Air midsole that offers a tastefully vintage vibe.
Releasing sometime in 2022, the Nike Air Force 1 Low NAI-KE Flax will be available in men's sizes with a retail price yet TBA. As mentioned already, these will be exclusive to Asian markets, so expect it to hit Nike China and select online and in-store stockists within the coming months.
