Even though the Air Force 1 is now officially over 40 years old, releases like the upcoming Nike Air Force 1 Low "Celestine Blue Lemon Wash" continue to surprise us. One of the latest colorways to hit the Bruce Kilgore-designed basketball shoe, it strays far, far away from the '80s icon's white-on-white roots, and opts for a show stopping palette that was made to turn heads wherever you go. There's a lot to unwrap here, so let's take a look.
While the overall shape and structure has been completely retained, everything else is totally different. To the lateral and medial sides, you'll find an ornate floral pattern in arctic orange. This intricate motif extends towards the toe area in celestine blue, and it's complemented by a series of corduroy panels that's elegantly wrap around the front and back of the AF1. The lacing system is dipped in a minty teal tint, while contrast citron tint laces wrap around for an eye-catching look. Wild leopard spots take over the heel badge, and this exotic aesthetic continues towards the insole in the form of zebra stripes. All of this sits on top of a tour yellow Air midsole, and it's finished with a black suede Swoosh that shoots across the lateral and medial sides, rounding off the multi-material design.
As you might have already expected, the Nike Air Force 1 Low Celestine Blue Lemon Wash W is set to release on April 13th, 2023 exclusively in women's sizes for $125.
