While The Swoosh may dress the AF1 in various color schemes, the most popular are primarily covered in white shades. There have been exceptions, and the “Gingham Pack” from 2019 is a prime example. A series of women’s exclusive colorways on the humble Bruce Kilgore-designed silhouette that featured the picnic cloth-like pattern across the entire sneaker. For its latest entry into the coveted AF1 series, Nike has again dressed the model with gingham patterns on the upcoming Nike Air Force 1 Low Gingham “White University Blue.”
Much like the AF1 Low Gingham “White Mystic Red,” this new iteration swaps out mystic red hits on the gingham-covered Swoosh, heel tab, and branding details for university blue. Otherwise, what remains is a standard white AF1 covered in tumbled leather across its various overlays. Continuing this white color palette are the laces, tongue, and sockliner. Underfoot, a chunk white AF1 midsole with Air branding on the heel gets paired with a matching rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Force 1 Gingham White University Blue W will be released in Fall 2023 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Releasing in women’s sizing, the retail price is set at $110.
