In light of the Nike Air Force 1s 40th anniversary, The Swoosh has revived classic colorways, brought in frequent collaborators, and has dressed the model in a variety of new color schemes. One coveted pair of AF1s, the former Japan exclusive “Wheat Mocha,” saw its return in 2020 with OG details to match, though it seems we’re getting a brand new iteration of the colorway. Slightly tweaking the design of the classic AF1, the Nike Air Force 1 Low Cut Out “CO.JP Wheat” is here.
Just like the original pair, the upper comes covered in a golden tan shade dubbed “Wheat,” taking on suede throughout its construction. Similar to the recently revealed See-Thru “Reverse Panda” Dunk High, cut-out details appear on the mudguard with golden floral embroidery revealed while the quarter panel shows us brown tumbled leather. The Nike Swoosh along the lateral side is in the path of this cut-out, and in turn, gets a small portion covered in blue tumbled leather. Tonal shades of wheat continue on the tongue, lace set, lace dubrae, and tongue tag while the sockliner opts for a baroque brown finish. Underfoot, a semi-translucent gum rubber midsole features brown “AIR” text on the heel while the entire design is finished off with a brown rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Force 1 Low Cut Out CO.JP Wheat is set to release in 2022 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Releasing in men’s sizing, the retail price is TBA.
