Some designs are timeless, and the Nike Air Foamposite Pro is one of those icons. Nearly 30 years since Penny Hardaway put it on the map, the Foamposite Pro still looks futuristic today. While the model debuted in 1997, the silhouette would receive new life in 2012 after the release of the (inter)stellar Galaxy colorway that turned the forward-facing footwear into a canvas for graphic prints.
That following year, the Foamposite Pro would continue that trend by adding a camouflage print to the model, helping to open the floodgates for an array of vaunted colorways. Soon, the Nike Air Foamposite Pro Camo will be making itself visible for the first time since its release in 2013.
Foamposite Pro Camo Details
The Nike Air Foamposite Pro Camo plays the hits, keeping the classic woodland green camouflage print across the famed molded polyurethane upper. Black details on the eyelets, collar, sockliner, heel, and jewel Swoosh help ground the colorway. A gum rubber outsole ties in more of the tonal browns found on the upper, adding even more cohesion to the colorway.
Just to make the shoes visible, Nike added bright neon accents, including on the tongue, the mini-Swoosh on the eyelets, the Nike branding on the heel, the giant-sized Swoosh on the outsole, and the pull tab on the heel, which is decorated with a vibrant chevron design. Special tags on the eyestay with N-758834 on the lateral side and PRO97 play on the military theming while also adding some specialized flair to the model. Taking that even further are Nike eagle-branded insoles reminiscent of a military patch.
