Nike’s making a bigger push with the Air Foamposite and bringing back the classic all-black colorway in 2023.

Retro basketball silhouettes continue to be a mainstay for Nike with the 90s being one fueled heavily with nostalgia. One silhouette that The Swoosh put on the back burner (at least in adult sizes) has been the Air Foamposite One, a classic in the DMV and a favorite of Penny Hardaway during the silhouette's initial release. Now in 2023, we’re getting the return of the all-black colorway that was last seen back in 2020.

Taking on its typical molded construction, the model takes on an all-black build from head to toe. Along the eyestays and tongue, you’ll find nubuck and mesh respectively while the laces and Nike Swoosh embroidered on the eyestays keep the monochromatic look alive. The rest of the model remains standard to the OG Foamposite One as it features pull tabs on the tongue and heel as well as a carbon fiber plate reaching up from the outsole up towards the upper. Rounding out the look is the Foamposite midsole in all-black paired with a black rubber outsole.

The Nike Air Foamposite One Black is set to release Holiday 2023 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $240.
