Nike Basketball is walking a tightrope between the future and the past. In addition to new futuristic silhouettes like the GT Future, GT Cut 4, and the new LeBron 24, Nike’s been bringing back some favorites from the golden age, including the Flightposite, Hyperflight, Foamposite Pro, and next year, the Air Flight One.

Live from ‘95

The Nike Air Flight One is the latest mid-90s Nike Basketball silhouette brought back for the modern era. Returning first in a classic black and white colorway, the retro model switches out Nike Basketball’s recent patent leather obsession for a coat of tough nubuck, with a classic bulky late 20th-century vibe.

Featuring a fully black nubuck upper, a small white Swoosh on the lateral toe matches the swooping accents on the side panel and the white Swoosh on the tongue. Just like the OG, a thick, bubbled plastic stabilizer at the ankle matches a stabilizer in the midfoot for a distinctly 90s look.
