In the midst of all the Air Force 1 and Dunk hype, Nike is bringing back one of its most iconic silhouettes from the '80s with the Nike Air Flight 89 "Chicago." It doesn't get anymore classic than a white, red, and black-themed colorway on a retro style basketball shoe.
While the model has indeed re-released over the past few years, the last time it dropped was back in 2020. Dressed in a crisp white tumbled leather, the upper bears a slightly resemblance to the Air Jordan 3 "Fire Red," but with a stark black Swoosh shooting across the lateral and medial side panels. Air Jordan 4-inspired eyelets make their way to the lacing system, and this legendary sneaker is referenced yet again with the midsole design. Nike Air is stitched around the heel, and to round it all off, "Air Flight" can be found embroidered across the tongue, finalizing the '80s classic.
The Nike Air Flight 89 Chicago is scheduled to release in Spring 2023 in men's sizes for $120. Expected to be available via Nike and select online and in-store retailers, make sure you follow Sole Retriever on Twitter and download our officialMobile App for your best chance to cop!
