Painted in the Heinz Field team’s official colors.

Pre-season games are officially underway, and to commemorate this, it looks like the Beaverton sportswear giant has a batch of NFL-inspired sneakers in the works, kicking it all off with the Nike Air Cross Trainer 3 Low "Kumquat." Working on the retro silhouette that made its debut during the ‘90s fitness boom, let’s take our very first look!
While this isn’t an official collaboration with the Pittsburgh-based American football team, it’s quite clear that Nike was heavily influenced by them when creating this colorway. Boasting an all-leather exterior just like the original pairs from back in the day, the Air Cross Trainer 3 Low works on top of a dark smoke grey base while crisp white panels make their way throughout the rest of the upper. A bold kumquat-hued Swoosh elegantly dives across the side panels of the vintage sneaker, while complementary accents hit the lacing system and outsole. This all comes together for a very Pittsburgh Steelers-esque vibe.
The Nike Air Cross Trainer 3 Low Kumquat is set to release in 2022. It will drop at Nike as well as select retailers worldwide, both in-store and online. Coming in men's sizing, retail is set at $125. Keep it locked to our Twitter and Mobile App to stay up to date on future releases.
