Nike is set to bring back the performance turf shoes that Bo Jackson wore towards the end of his career playing for the Los Angeles Raiders. The Nike Air Bo Turf is back, and it will even come in an original colorway that was released back in 1990. We know the Bo Jackson trainers, the Nike Air Trainer SC, which released again in Bo Jackson’s alma mater colors, but the Bo Turfs are somewhat of a lesser known Bo Jackson silhouette to the modern-day sneakerhead. But clearly, Nike Knows something that Bo doesn’t because this almost true-to-OG retro is headed our way in 2022.
The low-top Nike Air Bo Turf in white, solar red, and black, starts with a white base color. White mesh is the main underlay, used on the toe box and the quarter panel, with leather being used for the tongue as well as reinforcing the aforementioned toe box, and the eyelets. Black leather for the mudguard layers itself through the midfoot and heel, with a Swoosh on the upper matching the ankle collar and inner liner. Solar Red mesh accents with black contrast stitching add a layer of reinforcement to the upper while adding a pop of color, with “Bo Knows” printed on the insoles. Lastly, a white midsole and a black turf outsole is the finishing touch for this colorway.
The Nike Air Bo Turf White Solar Red will be released on July 14th, 2022. Look for the sneakers to release on Nike, via the SNKRS app, and at select Nike retailers for a retail price of $140 in men’s sizes. Keep it locked to our Twitter andMobile App to stay up to date on future releases.
