Over its 40 year history, the Nike Air Force 1 has seen countless makeovers ranging from eco-friendly designs and complete overhauls. With both Nike’s push for more women's-focused silhouettes and the silhouettes 40th Anniversary, the Swoosh has created the Nike AF1 PLT.AF.ORM, coming to us in “Summit White Metallic Silver.”
Keeping classic AF1 designs, the PLT.AF.ORM offering uses a summit white leather all over the upper. Your usual perforated leather toebox remains with the AF1 dubrae coming in metallic silver. Embroidered atop the tongue is metallic silver “Nike Air” branding, complemented by the surrounding overlays and laces in white. The midfoot switches up the standard design, partially sinking the metallic silver Nike Swoosh into the midsole and leaving behind an outline of its traditional placement. Back on the heel, the last hit of metallic silver Nike branding can be found. A commemorative graphic on the insole is marked with “AF1.EST.1982,” nodding to the 40th Anniversary of the silhouette. Finishing the design is the white platform midsole, tapering off to reveal a split sole design, and the redesigned white AF1 outsole.
The Nike AF1 PLT.AF.ORM Summit White Metallic Silver W is set to release on May 26th, 2022 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Coming exclusively in women’s sizing, the retail price is set at $110.
