A’ja Wilson’s college career at South Carolina is legendary, but she didn’t spend all of her time on the court. The reigning WNBA champion and MVP was also a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority, and she takes her sisterhood seriously. As Wilson continues her Nike A’Two PE run with cartoon colorways and college pairs for head coach Dawn Staley to celebrate the Gamecocks’ new Nike deal, her latest pair is a shoutout to her AKA sisters.
AKA Energy
The Nike A’Two Pinkies Up follows a similarly colored pair of AKA-themed A’Ones. Looking like a piece of watermelon candy, the Alpha Kappa Alpha colors, pink and green, cover the entire colorway. Starting with pink on the entire base of the upper and midsole, green is added on the embroidered toebox border, the side panel Swoosh, and heel stabilization bumper.
An AKA crest-shaped tongue logo features a mix of green stitching and poofy pink fabric, with a tiny Swoosh at the top and Wilson’s Nike logo underneath. Keeping it classy, the Pinkies Up pair keeps soft pink on the monogrammed toebox and ankle collar.
