A’ja Wilson’s second signature sneaker has taken over with a plurality of colorways. She’s debuted pairs paying tribute to Mulan and her favorite card game, UNO, and, recently, a colorway honoring her beloved sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha, surfaced.

Now, the A’Two is bringing the heat literally, but it isn’t to the Las Vegas desert. A’ja Wilson is passing the torch to Connecticut Sun star Brittney Griner for an A’Two Hot Wheels PE. A’ja Wilson first mentioned the colorway in a press conference before Griner officially debuted the pair, and then A’ja took to Instagram to show off the track-shaking homage.

Revved Up and Ready to Roll

The silhouette draws from Boneshaker, one of the most iconic vehicles from the long-running diecast car company. Just like the legendary rat rod, the colorway starts with a solid black base. A hint of yellow on the quilted toe box leads into the blue-trimmed flame graphic that wraps around the lateral side and onto the toe. On the medial side, the mesh vents get a flame gradient that shifts from a tepid yellow flame to a near-white-hot shade of blue. Red details pop up throughout the colorway, including the bottom eyelets, the Swooshes, and the A’ja Wilson logo on the tongue, which gets a slick update with a fiery twist. A semi-translucent black outsole completes the rubber burning look.

Nike A’Two Hot Wheels Brittney Griner PE Release Date

It is unknown at the time if this Brittney Griner PE will see a wider release or if it will remain exclusive to the Connecticut Sun star. With both UNO and Hot Wheels colorways on deck could A’ja be reaching even more into the Mattel universe? Master of the Universe A’Twos when?
