Streetwear legend Nigo has a storied history in the fashion industry, from founding BAPE in the '90s to leaving the company and founding Human Made. Throughout most of his time in fashion, the Japanese designer was linked with adidas. However, Nigo added another giant to his repertoire by partnering with Nike. Announced in April 2023, this collaboration has been highly anticipated, and we finally get a glimpse of the Nigo x Nike collaboration with the Air Force 3 Low White Multi-Color, which debuted during the latest Kenzo Paris fashion show.
The Nigo x Nike Air Force 3 Low White Multi-Color features a dynamic blend of materials and colors, showcasing Nigo's signature eclectic style. The upper combines perforated leather, corduroy, suede, and leather, predominantly in white hues. Grey suede adorns the mudguard, while the perforated leather appears on the toe and midfoot for added texture.
The collar is wrapped in white corduroy and a pop of pink leather graces the heel overlay. Colorful accents bring the sneaker to life, with yellow and green eyestays and a vibrant red Swoosh. Air Force III branding on the tongue is highlighted in red and green, complementing the Nike Air logo on the heel. The sneaker sits on a white and red Air Force 3 midsole paired with a black outsole to complete the look.

“Nike truly has many masterpieces,” Nigo says. “The AF3 is a hidden masterpiece that I remember loving at the time. Through my first collaboration with Nike, I want to reintroduce everyone to its magnificence. When I decided to work with Nike, I went to the Nike World Headquarters and drew a lot of inspiration from the archives, the lab and the team working there. Everything I saw had a great influence on the project. There are still many things yet to come, so please look forward to the Nike and Nigo project. It's the beginning of a long and exciting journey.”
The Nigo x Nike Air Force 3 Low White Multi-Color will release via two in-store pop-ups, one in NYC at the I Know Nigo 2 event hosted by Steven Victor and the other in Tokyo, located at Otsumo Plaza, on September 28. Human Made will also release the pair online on the same day. A wider global launch via Nike SNKRS and select retailers will take place on October 4.
Alongside the standard version of the AF3 and clothing collection, China and Japan will get a Nike x OGIN release, spelling Nigo's name backwards in a nod to how his work has been reinterpreted around the world.
