In the days before delivery apps and news feeds, there was this thing called a newspaper. It was black, white, and read all over, and it arrived on doorsteps across the nation every morning, delivered by kids on bicycles before dads could don their robes and pour their coffee. For kids of a past generation, paperboy was as cliché as it gets for a first job, down to inspiring a 1985 video game called, you guessed it, Paperboy.

Paperboy, Paperboy, All About That Paper, Boy

For BMX legend and all-around bicycle evangelist Nigel Sylvester, the bike-riding employment of the ‘80s and the video game it spurred are the inspiration for his latest Jordan collab. According to an early info leak from @zSneakerHeadz, Nigel’s next Bike Air partnership will take on the Air Jordan 6 in a blue and white colorway inspired by the Paperboy video game.

So far, we’ve only seen a couple of speculative mock-ups, but no actual photos of samples or color swatches. On the cover of the video game, the paperboy character wears a full blue outfit with white shoes and a yellow hat, while riding a red bike. If we were to guess, we’d say the Jordan 6 collab will combine those colors in some way.
