New Balance has been a force to reckon with in 2022 as their link-ups with labels like AURALEE, Aime Leon Dore, and designers like Joe Freshgoods, Salehe Bembury, and ALD-founder Teddy Santis have showcased the once-scoffed-at footwear brand is able to reach hype culture. As previously mentioned, Teddy Santis played one of the bigger roles in this hype explosion thanks to his appointment as Creative Director of NB’s Made in USA line in 2021, though we got our first taste of the premium line this year. Continuing the partnership, Season 2 has just begun to arrive with the New Balance 992 Made in USA “Cream Tan Brown” joining the release calendar.
Like many of the New Balance Made In USA by Teddy Santis, this 992 utilizes an earth tone color palette with olive green hints seen throughout. Around the mudguard, toebox, and quarter panel sits a pigskin suede with the color shifting from light tan on the front half to a darker brown near the middle. These shades continue onto the collar area while the base mesh layer comes in a stark white hue that also makes its may to the tongue and lace set. Atop the tongue you’ll find the usual New Balance 992 branding in black, sitting atop a more cream-shaded suede panel while further branding details, like the “N” on the midfoot and “USA” on the heel, come in black. Underfoot, a two-tone cream and white midsole gets paired with a black rubber outsole.
The New Balance 992 Made in USA By Teddy Santis Cream Tan Brown is set to release in December 2022 through New Balance and select NB retailers online and in-store.
