The celebrated New Balance 991, known for its premium craftsmanship and timeless appeal, has just been spotted in a brand-new colorway. Following the reveal of the “Washed Grey” and the upcoming release of the “Star White,” The 991 Made in UK now gets a tan-based makeover on the “Elm” colorway.
New Balance's latest iteration of the 991 draws on earthy tones for a decidedly versatile look. Tan pigskin suede is seen on the mudguard, midfoot panel, eyelets, and heel. The toebox overlay matches the white-shaded leather on the collar for a sense of depth. Silver on the vamp juxtaposes the grey mesh base layer, while tan laces add cohesiveness. A navy "N" logo on the midfoot, outlined with white leather piping, elevates the look. This navy hue is repeated on the leather tongue tag and mustache. Grounding this design is a two-tone white and green-tinted midsole paired with a grey and black outsole.
The New Balance 991 Made in UK Elm will release July 6 through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store, though a release in the EU has already occurred through select retailers. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $260.
