Though it took just around a year for Teddy Santis and New Balance to roll out their Made in USA Collection, the wait was worthwhile. Numerous colorways in neutral, easy-to-wear shades have so far dominated the collection, but it appears things are taking a colorful turn. With the most recent release of the New Balance 990v3 Made in USA by Teddy Santis being the “Raw Amethyst” colorway, a vibrant red “Scarlet” has just surfaced.
Premium pigskin suede and mesh dress the upper with the materials coming in shades of red and grey. The mesh base takes over the toebox in deep red with various panels created through the pigskin suede taking on a grey and scarlet combo. White laces pop from the scarlet eyestays, working up to the waffle tongue with “New Balance USA” branding present. Along the midfoot, the scarlet theme continues through the aforementioned pigskin suede, though a silver and white N logo breaks up the colorful tones. Back on the heel, “990” is embroidered atop the suede with another hit of Made in USA branding placed on the black perforated leather heel tab. Underfoot, a two-tone white and grey ENCAP cushioned midsole is paired with a rubber outsole featuring all colors seen on the upper.
The New Balance 990v3 Made in USA by Teddy Santis Scarlet is slated to release on July 28th, 2022 through New Balance and select NB retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $200.
