The Aime Leon Dore founder is back with another premium colorway.
Teddy Santis has the Midas touch because it seems like everything he comes in contact with immediately turns into solid gold. Ever since the Aime Leon Dore founder was appointed the Creative Director of New Balance’s Made in USA division, the sneaker game has been more hyped than ever for the Boston footwear brand’s latest offerings. After checking out the New Balance 990v2 Made In USA “Marigold” earlier this week, we’re now getting our first look at the New Balance 990v3 Made In USA "Green Purple."
Featuring more-or-less the same color palette as the Stray Rats x New Balance 991 collaboration from the end of last year, this NB 990v3 in “Green Purple” works on top of a breathable black mesh base. This is overlaid with muted green suede that elegantly embrace the side panels, toebox, and heel, while bold purple hits make their way to the inner sockliner and “N” logo. A waffle texture adorns the tongue for added depth, and a chunky ENCAP midsole underfoot provides wearers with a crazy amount of comfort with every step. To round it all off, “Made In USA” is proudly stamped around the back to remind everyone that this isn’t just any old GR New Balance.
The New Balance 990v3 Made In USA By Teddy Santis Green Purple is set to release on September 9th, 2022. It will be available through New Balance and select NB retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is $210.
