Just in case you didn't already know, the New Balance 580 was once one of the most sought-after silhouettes in the Boston brand's extensive portfolio. First released back in 1996 as a Japan exclusive, the retro silhouette hasn't been seen around for the past few years. With that said, following the hotly-anticipated launch of the Palace x New Balance 580 Pack, it looks like New Balance are ready to go all in with the New Balance 580 "Olive" kicking it all off.
Building on top of a clean white mesh base, olive leather panels wrap around the entire upper with a slick and smooth finish. 3M accents venture on the vamp, heel, and "N" logo for a pop of reflection, and this is all contrasted by a series of soft yellow hues that are as clean as they come. Underfoot, the EVA foam midsole is infused with Rollbar technology for the perfect balance between comfort and stability, and this is finished off with a black rubber outsole that's perfect for everyday wear.
The New Balance 580 Olive is set to release on December 9th, 2022. Expected to drop at New Balance and select online and in-store retailers across the globe, retail is set at $140 in men's sizing.
