New Balance as a brand caught fire in 2020 and beyond with the revival of the New Balance 550 silhouette being a major force in this increase in hype. Since Teddy Santis and his label Aime Leon Dore dug the model from the archives, we’ve seen NB itself bring out a variety of GR colorways, collaborations, and more with 2023 continuing this trend. Recently spotted in a patriotic-like “White Red Blue,” the model has just appeared in an “LA Rams” inspired colorway.
Dressed in leather throughout its upper, the model mostly partakes in an all-white build for its leather overlays while yellow mesh on the collar and various blue accents provide a sneaker ready for the next Rams home game. Further yellow hits take over the “550” branding detail on the perforated leather overlay, via the “N” logo on the midfoot, and atop the tongue tag. Blue details dress the lining of the tongue, the collar overlay, and the “NB” graphic stamped on the heel tab. A yellow sockliner helps finish the upper while the white 550 midsole paired with a blue, yellow, and white rubber outsole completes the look.
The New Balance 550 LA Rams is set to release on April 6th, 2023 through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $110.
