It's no secret that New Balance has always placed an emphasis on quality. Through its "Made in UK" and "Made in USA" divisions, the Boston-based brand has made it its goal to produce some of the most luxurious sneakers currently on the market. With that said, it looks like NB are setting the bar even higher with its latest creation, the New Balance 327 "Made In Japan."
While NB has indeed released "Made in Japan" colorways before, the 327 takes the materials to another level. Handcrafted by Japanese atelier M. Lab, the Charlotte Lee-designed silhouette has been reworked with tanned Tochigi leather, which has been produced in Japan since the '30s. While other 327s tend to wear and tear over time, this one will develop a unique patina so that no two pairs will look exactly the same. To the side panels you'll find an oversized "N" logo that has been stitched on for a sartorial aesthetic, and down below, the midsole is painted in a crisp white hue and lined with a gum rubber outsole. To round it all off, the tongue proudly showcases a "Made in Japan" label, finalizing the ultra luxe sneaker.
The New Balance 327 Made In Japan is set to release in extremely limited numbers on October 15th, 2022. Set to drop in men's sizes with an approximate retail of $492, these will be available at New Balance and a select retailers both online and in physical locations.
