The New Balance 2002R is a prime example of ability to take technical running models from its archives and retool them for the modern day lifestyle market. New Balance has found success for the 2002R through collaborative projects with the likes of DTLR, as well as general-release versions like the popular Protection Pack. Sure to turn some heads now is an upcoming variant bathed in several shades of pink.

The pink on pink on pink upper sees mesh topped with suede and smooth leather paneling— each material carrying a slightly different hue. Laces match in pink as well, while slight deviations can be found in the reflective silver "N" logo, white sockliner, and the upper most eyelets in grey.  White covers the midsole, while grey appears on the midsole shank, as well as the gel pods borrowed from the 860v2. Black and white appear in a two-toned pattern on the outsole, with the shank adding a hint of silver.
