With the 2002R completely dominating 2022, New Balance is hoping to do the same thing all over again with the 1906R. A silhouette that made its grand debut in 2010, it’s been brought back over a decade later and sneakerheads are already lusting over it. Following the release of the thisisneverthat collaboration and more special editions coming very soon, we’re now getting a closer look at the New Balance 1906R "White Silver Gold" which fully embraces vintage vibe.
When you look at all of the 1906Rs that have been announced so far, none of them are as old school as this one. A dad sneaker through and through, it features a white mesh base while silver leather and TPU elements run across the entire upper for an aesthetic that looks like it’s been snatched straight from the ‘90s. On top of this, gold accents feature throughout for an even more retro design. Other funky things that are definitely worth mentioning include the signature “N” logo that seems to be made from a woven fabric, and a chunky N-ERGY midsole underfoot that’s also accented with gold at the heel.
The New Balance 1906R White Silver Gold is set to release in late 2022/early 2023. It will drop at New Balance as well as select retailers worldwide, both online and in-store.
