2023 is already gearing up to be the year of the New Balance 1906R. A retro silhouette that first debuted back in 2010, the Boston footwear company is bringing it back almost a decade later with a slightly reworked design. With a ton of colorways expected to be announced very soon, here's a look at the New Balance 1906R Leather "Grey Navy."
While most 1906Rs boast a mesh base that takes up the majority of the upper, this colorway overlays it with large panels of leather across the lateral and medial sides. This results in an extra luxe aesthetic that falls perfectly inline with the model’s retro-futuristic design language. Around the heel, a TPU cage offers an optimum amount of support with every step, and throughout the entire sneaker, dark navy tones add a very subtle pop of color into the mix. Because the “Grey” and “Navy” combination has been executed so impeccably, fans are already nicknaming this colorway the “Gravy" edition, whether we like it or not.
The New Balance 1906R Leather Grey Navy is set to release in late 2022/early 2023. It will drop at New Balance and at select retailers worldwide, both in-store and online.
