Dating back to 1989, the Steven Smith-designed New Balance 1500 has been a mainstay silhouette for the NB factory across the pond in Flimby, UK as the model consistently falls under the “Made in England” banner. With the 40th-anniversary celebration going down this year, we’ve got looks at yet another New Balance 1500 Made in England, this time in Teal Grey.
As with all “Made In” New Balance models, premium materials and construction take over the model with a combination of grey, navy, white, and teal shades visible throughout. Around the mudguard sits a teal pigskin suede, accented by greys and creams on the toebox and vamp. Grey suede is also present on the quarter panel which also acts as the eyestays for a matching set of flat laces. These work up the pink tongue towards a black embroidery with the text “New Balance Made In England” denoting its premium construction. Other branding details include the classic “N” logo on the quarter panel, “1500” stamped atop a navy-shaded hair suede on the heel, and a neon green “NB” embroidered on the back of the black leather collar. Rounding out the design is the white and grey foam midsole paired with a black and grey rubber outsole.
The New Balance 1500 Made in England Teal Grey is slated to release in 2022 through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $211.
