Mid-February usually brings the best out of sneaker brands with hyped up retros and new releases. This is all thanks to NBA All-Star Weekend, a time to showcase the best talent the league has to offer. While this year may not be as jam packed with releases, we are getting a triple collaboration between the NBA, WNBA, and Nike on a women’s exclusive basketball-inspired Nike Dunk High EMB.
Taking the basketball inspiration literally, this EMB variation of the Nike Dunk High comes constructed out of orange pebbled and smooth leather across the silhouette. Pebbled leather overlays located on the mudguard, eyelets and heel mimic the leather used on a basketball while the base layer comes in a slightly darker shade of orange. The monochromatic look continues on the laces, working up the satin orange tongue to the Nike branded tongue tag with co-branded WNBA and NBA logos on the backside. Both Nike Swooshes come in white and black on the lateral and medial side respectively, wrapping back over the satin collar to the cream colored leather tab on the heel. Finishing the look is the white Dunk midsole paired to an orange rubber outsole.
The NBA x WNBA x Nike Dunk High One Game W is slated to release on May 6, 2022. through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Coming in women's sizing, retail is set at $120.
