The NBA has already collaborated on several different classic Nike silhouettes including the Dunk Low, the Air Force 1, and the Blazer. So to see the 75th Anniversary of the NBA being celebrated on a brand new model is a refreshing, and welcome, sight. Ishod Wair’s namesake sneaker, the Nike SB Ishod Wair, get’s an NBA makeover that features not just red, white, and blue throughout the upper, but also a custom hang tag that clearly notes the two brands coming together on this collaboration.
An all-black suede upper, with small portions of black mesh around the ankle collar and quarter panel is accented with hints of blue and red throughout. A red thread is used to stitch “Ishod” and a Swoosh into the top of the tongue, with similar red thread used to stitch in the mini Nike Swoosh on the toebox, and outline the larger Nike Swoosh logo on the heel panel. A final red stitching detail runs parallel to the eyestay, between two blue leather eyelets. The only other accent of blue is featured around the perimeter of the upper, running in sync with the white midsole, as the sneaker sits on top of a medium brown gum rubber outsole. Nike SB and NBA co-branding can be found on the hangtag, as well as on the heel of the insole. A lone star logo in silver with red thread piping can be seen on the medial side of the sneaker.
