Asics is no stranger to Copenhagen-based retailer NAKED. The duo have once again joined forces with another powerful message behind their design, “living uplifted.” Helping showcase that sneakers can look and feel just how we want them, while also being thoughtful and sustainable is the NAKED Copenhagen x Asics GEL-1130.
Constructed with vegan leather and recycled materials, the silhouette comes in a classic runner form. Faux leather overlays sit atop the sneaker's white mesh base. Silver hits land across the upper, accented by sage green on the mudguard, eyestays, and midfoot overlays. White laces, which are fully recycled, run up towards the “Asics GEL-1130” branding atop the tongue. Branding details continue on the white insoles with both brands appearing in sage green alongside their hometowns, Copenhagen for NAKED and Kobe for Asics, on the right and left pair respectively. Underfoot, an off-white GEL midsole gets extra support through the TRUSSTIC torsion system that gets dressed in the same sage green shade as seen on the upper. Rounding everything out is the black and grey rubber outsole.
The NAKED Copenhagen x Asics GEL-1130 is slated to release on August 11th through NAKED Copenhagen while a global release will take place the next day, August 12th, through select retailers online and in-store. Coming in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $100. Keep it locked to our Twitter and the Sole Retriever mobile app for more updates on the latest in the sneaker and streetwear scene.
