Back in 2020, Japan’s N.HOOLYWOOD joined hands with Taiwan’s INVINCIBLE for a three-way New Balance 2002R collaboration. Regarded by many sneakerheads as the main reason why they fell in love with the retro sneaker in the first place, there’s no doubt that this partnership paved the way to the insane amount of hype that the silhouette has been experiencing today. Fast forward two years, and the three companies have reunited once again, this time for the N.HOOLYWOOD x INVINCIBLE x New Balance 2002R "Blue Moon."
For their second offering, this 2002R drops the classic all-grey palette in favor of a beautiful blue color combination. Working on top of a mesh base, this is overlaid with smooth nubuck and shaggy suede for an extra premium look and feel. The highly-sculpted midsole combines ABZORB cushioning with N-ERGY technology for extra comfort with every step, and to round it all off, co-branded detailing is printed on the insole. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Gore-Tex sneaker without an abundance of logos strewn across. From the lateral heel tag to the toe box stitching, NB wants absolutely everyone to know that this sneaker is made to tackle the elements.
The N.HOOLYWOOD x INVINCIBLE x New Balance 2002R Blue Moon is set to release on November 2nd, 2022, with an online raffle via INVINCIBLE's web store starting on October 27th. It will drop at N. HOOLYWOOD, INVINCIBLE, New Balance, and select retailers worldwide, both online and in-store. Coming in men's sizing, retail is approximately $208.
