Previously being sued by both Nike and Vans, MSCHF is not afraid to bridge the gap between what many could possibly consider an art piece or, a rip off of some of footwear’s most iconic designs. Once again, the art collective is here presenting their latest footwear design that, if you look close enough, may resemble another company's iconic design. With that, the MSCHF Super Normal Sneaker is almost here.
Taking on a tumbled leather construction, the silhouette gets a mainly-white look throughout its wavy and distorted design. Around the toe, perforations of various sizes are surrounded by double-stacked layers of tumbled leather that are placed in a wavy design that continues over to the midfoot portion. The eyestays and vamp can’t keep things straight either, both appearing to be distorted to what a “normal” sneaker would look like.
On the bottommost eyelet, a MSCHF branded dubrae houses white laces, weaving in and out to create a crooked appearance. Atop the tongue is black “MSCHF” branding, continuing the wavy design. Towards the rear, more tumbled leather is present with a distorted heel tab featuring embroidered exclamation points and another distorted overlay just below. Rounding out the look is the MSCHF branded midsole paired with a wavy rubber outsole.
The MSCHF Super Normal Sneaker is set to drop on June 23rd, 2022 through the MSCHF Sneakers app. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $145. To stay updated on the latest from the controversial MSCHF and more,
