Miu Miu’s $1,170 Luxury New Balance Mary Janes are Dropping This Week

Luxury collaborations are nothing new in the sneaker industry, but sometimes a classic sportswear logo and a high-fashion price tag hit our calendar and knock us back to earth. There are levels to this fashion game, after all.

New New at Miu Miu

Miu Miu and New Balance have been in cahoots for a few years now, first starting with remixes on the low-profile New Balance 530 lifestyle shoe, cutting the sole down to a sliver of its OG size. After teaming up with Coco Gauff last year, and then again for Wimbledon this year with even more pairs, the Miu Miu 530 collection continues in an open-top Mary Jane style.

The Miu Miu x New Balance 530 SL arrives in two colorways this week: brown and white, both covered in soft, weathered leather paneling. The brown pair is monochrome across the upper with white on the guts, while the white pair adds brown detailing behind the leather and brown laces for a matching pack. Leather laces add a bit more luxury to both pairs, while Miu Miu branding on the tag does its best to justify the price tag.
