Metagirl’s Latest Saucony Collab is a 6 Pair Custom ProGrid Drop with Real Freshwater Pearls

When Metagirl Studio launched its first Saucony collab with a pair of ProGrid Paramounts covered in lacey details and faux pearls, the “Daughter of the Moon” theme came to life as a story about the birth of a pearl, complete with 3D-printed shell details on the heel and a shimmering purple accent color. For her latest work, Metagirl Studio founder Caterina Mongillo is taking the shoe one step further into the sea.

Announced this week on the Metagirl Studio Instagram page, the Metagirl x Saucony ProGrid Paramount Daughter of the Moon Custom is a six-pair exclusive collection of hand-accessorized pairs of the Daughter of the Moon ProGrid Paramount. Starting with the collaborative shoe, the custom pairs continue the theme with the growth of the pearl, covering the shoe in piles of jewelry.

Mongillo noted on her post that to make the pairs, she used a combination of “natural white Biwa stick freshwater pearls, high luster silver grey Keshi freshwater pearls, silver grey round freshwater pearls, white glass pearl beads, flat back crystals in Moonlight color, Swarovski bicone beads in silver grey, Metagirl Pearl Bow shoe charms, and a hand sewn grey ruffle in chiffon.”

The Metagirl x Saucony ProGrid Paramount Daughter of the Moon Custom will be released December 18, 2025 through the Metagirl Studio website. Like we said, there are only 6 pairs being made, so sizing is still a mystery, as is the price, but with so many freshwater pearls added to the shoe, expect to pay a pretty penny.
