There are only a handful of brands from streetwear’s early heyday that still carry the same amount of clout as they used to. The Supremes of the industry are few and far between, but on the collectible figurines side of things, Medicom Toys has been a stalwart since the mid 1990s, producing its iconic Be@rbrick figures in all sizes, and collaborating with people across the culture landscape.
Ape Meets Bear
For its 30th anniversary, Medicom is teaming up with another legendary stalwart from the early streetwear days, BAPE. We first saw previews of Medicom’s 30th birthday celebration with a look at a golden teddy bear hair Nike Air Force 1 collab and matching Be@rbrick toy. Now, the yearlong party adds another similarly shaped sneaker collab on the BAPE STA along with an entire capsule collection of co-branded BAPE gear.
Using the original Medicom x BAPE collab camo colorway from the two brands’ first partnership in 2003, the anniversary collection features the grey, yellow, blue, and red toy store camo on T-shirts, bear-eared full-zip hoodies, and Be@rbrick figures wearing the same sweatshirt. As for the sneakers, a white leather pair of BAPE STAs adds the same tri-color camo to the side panel logo, tongue tag, and heel tab.
Medicom Toys x BAPE 30th Anniversary Collection Release Details
The Medicom Toys x BAPE 30th Anniversary Collection will be released August 8, 2026 through BAPE and Medicom in-store and online.
