When artists, influencers, brands, or any collaborator for that matter get the opportunity to create for Jordan Brand it often means the world to them. For Macklemore, his Air Jordan 6 collaborations came at a time when he was one of the hottest artists on the planet and people were hungry for pairs. The catch? Only 23 pairs were produced for his personal collection and 23 for Michael Jordan himself meaning that the public never had a chance at actually securing the ultra-rare sneaker. In the leadup to his new album “Ben,” Macklemore is giving fans an opportunity to secure a pair of the “Clay” colorway he worked on back in 2014.
The sneaker itself takes on an all-over monochromatic clay finish with suede taking over the entire model. Special details that set this apart from a standard AJ 6 include Macklemore’s shark logo on the heel and custom insoles with co-branded features. Aside from this, the standard AJ 6 build is present as the tongue takes on a black finish with the heel spoiler featuring an accenting hit of salmon pink. Underfoot sits an AJ 6 midsole in black and white with a visible Air unit in the heel paired with a semi-translucent icy rubber outsole contrasted by hits of clay pink.
