Founded in 2010, LQQK Studio has grown from a small printing business to now having its own streetwear imprint and creatively consulting for artists, designers, and many more across various industries. As the creative collective expanded its reach in 2016 with their aforementioned streetwear brand, it only took two years until Vans came calling for a collaborative project. Now after two capsules with the skate-focused company, Reebok has reached out to the label and allowed them to dress two Classic Leather colorways in leaf camo print.
Unlike other Reebok Classic Leather collaborations, LQQK Studio founder Alex Dondero stated “We didn’t want to make a white shoe that doesn’t push the envelope. That’s how we came up with this wild printed pattern shoe… The Printer’s Shoe!” And push the envelope they did as the two colorways, “Green Camo” and “Pink Camo,” get dressed in leaf camo patterns that incorporate various shades of wild brown and bright ochre on the "Green" pair while bubblegum and pine green take over the "Pink" look. Both feature “LQQK” branding on the quarter panels window alongside an American flag, while the tongue tag features co-branding between LQQK Studios and Reebok. On the reverse of this tag, text denoting “The Printer’s Shoe” is present and replaces the OG Reebok text while the brand makes its final appearance back on the heel via a square graphic with the collectives logo. Underfoot, a two-tone midsole featuring brown/white on the Green Camo pair and pink/white on the Pink Camo pair gets paired with a gum rubber outsole.
The LQQK Studio x Reebok Classic Leather Pink Camo and Green Camo will see an initial release on September 16th, 2022 through LQQK Studio’s webstore and at a launch event in Brooklyn, NYC with the “Pink Camo” pair staying exclusive to this drop. The “Green Camo” colorway will see a global release on September 21st through Reebok and select retailers online and in-store. Releasing in men’s sizing, the retail price for both pairs is set at $120.
