Hype surrounding A Bathing Ape is currently at an all-time high. After announcing the BAPE STA Snakeskin Pack last month as well as another adidas Superstar project, Nigo's streetwear label has now teamed up with Chicago-based visual artist Louis De Guzman for the Louis De Guzman x BAPE Roadsta "Grey." Making their first collaboration together, this is the perfect fusion of art and sneakers.
Featuring a premium leather and suede construction, De Guzman's take on the legendary Roadsta is painted in clean grey and white tones. Perforations across the toebox harken back to the model's hardcourt roots, while a dash of royal blue around the heel makes these hard to ignore. Of course, you can't talk about this collab without mentioning the Shooting Star motif across the sidewalls. A classic BAPE detail, it has been reworked with the Filipino icon's world-famous geometric artwork. You'll also find his signature scrawled on the left insole. This Roadsta comes packed within a special edition shoebox which comes with a custom drawstring bag, and there's also an exclusive BABY MILO figure up for grabs as well.
The Louis De Guzman x BAPE Roadsta Grey is releasing on November 19th, 2022 in men's sizes. Retail has yet TBA, but they will be available via BAPE and a select retailers worldwide.
