While we are all dragging our feet getting back to work after the weekend, we’ve got to talk about what happened on Sunday in the NFL. Obviously, the big story is a rare tie in the primetime game. The Dallas Cowboys played their first match against the Green Bay Packers after the fallout of the Jerry Jones vs. Micah Parsons drama, and they went through overtime, both notching 40 points on the board.
We could discuss what this means for the NFC playoff race in the long run (and how that game helped secure this author a fantasy win), but our focus is on the sneakers worn by players across the league. It’s time for another LOOK GREAT FEEL GREAT.
Caleb Williams
The Chicago Bears barely squeaked out the win against the Raiders, but that’s not the fault of QB Caleb Williams. He had an alright outing, throwing 212 yards, one pick, and one touchdown, but his footwear heading into the match-up was definitely outstanding. Williams rocked a pair of the Nike Air Yeezy II in the Pure Platinum colorway, a grail of grails for many sneakerheads.
Cam Lampkin
While going undrafted in 2024, Cam Lampkin still has hopes to be a regular NFL athlete, but for now, he’s grinding it out on the practice squad of the Los Angeles Rams. Still, we can’t take away the interception he had in the preseason against the Dallas Cowboys. Heading into the Rams’ matchup against the Colts, Lampkin pulled up in the Nike SB x Air Jordan 4 Retro Navy.
Derrick Barnes
In the lead-up to the 2025 NFL season, Derrick Barnes signed a three-year contract extension with the Detroit Lions, netting him a cool $25 million in the process. The linebacker decided he wanted to channel some MJ energy heading into the game against the Browns as he laced up a pair of the Air Jordan 14 Black Toes (which just ended up on our top 10 list of the best AJ 14s).
Isiah Pacheco
The Kansas City Chiefs vs. Baltimore Ravens matchup produced some great offense from both sides, with Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco scoring one of the team’s four TDs. Before he laced up his cleats, Pacheco showed out in a pair of the Union x Air Jordan 4 Retro Guava Ice (and it looks like he may have cut the tongue on them).
Kenneth Walker III
Acting now as the Seattle Seahawks’ RB1, Kenneth Walker III is putting in the legwork game in and game out. In Seattle's game against the Arizona Cardinals, he had 19 rushing attempts and netted 81 yards on the ground. Walker was pictured on the sideline before hitting the locker room in a pair of the Nike SB x Air Jordan 4 Retro Pine Green.
Kayvon Thibodeaux
The New York Giants really can’t catch a break huh? Malik Nabers, the star wide receiver, tore his ACL and will miss the rest of the 2025 campaign. On top of this, the organization sat Russell Wilson in favor of Jaxson Dart, naming him the starting QB for the time being. That’s not necessarily bad news, but it's still noteworthy that the 1-3 team is still looking for a leader in the pocket. But let’s not focus on the woes of the Giants, let's look at defensive lineman Kayvon Thibodeaux’s footwear choice ahead of the game. He laced up the classic Air Jordan 1 High Bred in the ‘85 cut.
Maxwell Hairston
Unfortunately Maxwell Hairston hasn’t been able to enjoy the first few weeks of the NFL season. The Buffalo Bills' rookie cornerback is still dealing with a knee injury that has him on the IR, but that hasn’t stopped him from attending games in style. The adidas athlete rocked a pair of the SFTM x adidas Superstar 82 Brown before the Bills took on the Saints.
Saquon Barkley
Philadelphia Eagles superstar and Madden 26 cover athlete Saquon Barkley showed up to the matchup against Tampa Bay in a super low-key pair of all-white Nike Air Force 1 Lows. No Louis Vuitton or collaborator attached, just your standard coke white AF1. Just goes to show that the sneaker will never go out of style.
TJ Watt
JJ Watt’s younger brother TJ has continued to make a name for himself on the Pittsburgh Steelers, both on and off the field. He’s made our list in week 2 when he grabbed a pair of Travis Scott x Jordan Jumpman Jacks in the OG Sail colorway, and his latest entry is also thanks to La Flame. Watt was spotted hopping off the team bus in the Medium Olive colorway of the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG.
George Kittle
49ers tight end George Kittle made our list week 1 when he entered the 2025 season wearing the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 6 Retro British Khaki. He reappeared in week 4, but this time, he channeled the Black Mamba in a pair of the Nike Kobe 8 Protro Venice Beach.
A.J. Epenesa
Another NFL player rocking Nike Kobes this week was A.J. Epenesa, a defensive end for the Buffalo Bills. He entered the stadium wearing the 2020 Protro of the Nike Kobe 6 Grinch, arguably the most iconic Kobe 6 ever to release.
