Liverpool, Manchester United, and Real Madrid’s Third Kits are Honored on These adidas Gazelles

Though they’ve made headways in the world of basketball thanks to Anthony Edwards and James Harden’s signature sneaker lines, adidas’ bread and butter will always be soccer (sorry, football). The Three Stripes’ deep-rooted history and partnerships across the globe have crossed over into their footwear releases, as various clubs have gotten their own colorways of classic terrace trainers like the Samba and Gazelle. Following up on the archival-inspired MLS collection last month, adidas is honoring three European football powerhouses, Liverpool, Manchester United, and Real Madrid, with adidas Gazelle colorways.

All three teams’ Gazelles are done in the same color palette as their 2025-2026 third kits. Starting with Manchester United, the Red Devils have decided to look back at their away club kits from 1993-95, which featured black and gold detailing, for their third kit this season. Real Madrid’s latest kit is done in a blue and white color palette, a combo they’ve consistently used over the years. However, the design of the jersey itself takes direct inspiration from the new seats installed in their home, the Bernabéu. Finally, Liverpool’s third kit for the ‘25-’26 season comes in a sea green hue similar to the shade used by the adidas EQT line, with this year also being the first time since 2012 that adidas has sponsored the club.

These color combos are all applied to suede and leather uppers, with the leather on the tongue and Three Stripes contrasting the monochromatic suede base. Club names are written in gold foil on the lateral midfoot, while the insole features a tag displaying the name alongside adidas text and “Designed in Herzogenaurach.” Final details include the club’s crest on the heel tab and a tonal midsole and outsole.

The adidas Third Kit Gazelle Collection will release in August 2025 through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. The Real Madrid pair will drop on the 8th, while the Manchester United and Liverpool pairs will release on the 12th.
